Classmates is turning out to be the biggest box-office winner of all times. From 47 screens in 28 days, the film has got a distributors share of Rs 2.76 Crore, a new record for any film in Kerala!
At Ernakulam Kavitha, it has gone houseful for 75 continuous shows. In four weeks (28 days) it has taken a distributors share of Rs 23 Lakhs. In Kottayam Abhilash it has made a record Rs 10.82 Lakhs.
At Trichur Ragam it has taken Rs 18 Lakhs and at Chalakudy Surabhi a small station, the film netted a whopping amount in two weeks! In Thiruvananthapuram Sri Padmanabha, it has grossed Rs 33.45 Lakhs in 28 days.
The film is poised to complete 100 days in almost all releases stations as per indications. What has surprised the trade is that in spite of heavy rains and ‘Noyambu’(Ramzan fast) period, particularly in Malabar area the film is rock steady at the box-office.
