Dileep’s Pandipada, which opened on his lucky date (July 4) is limping at the Kerala box-office. On the first day itself, it could not get a 100 percent opening as night shows all over Kerala were not full due to a bandh next day. And on Tuesday (July5) there were no shows as all theatres remained closed due to bandh.
On Wednesday, also the after effect of the bandh clearly showed on the collections. By then the word-of-mouth of the film was discouraging and during the weekend in most of the places collections have dropped to 50 percent!

And on Monday the eighth day of its release, it looks like the film has been practically written off by the trade who blames Dileep for this fiasco. They say that he had no business to release the film in the beginning of the week and that too in the midst of bandh, which was announced two weeks before!

Added to that Pandipada directors Rafi and Mecartin has come in for scathing criticism for rehashing their earlier comedy films set in Kerala-Tamilnadu border milieu.
