Mohanlal Back To classic acting

I saw 1st show from Pta Anurag.........Theatre status no doubt waz full house.......
Movie took of really well......Mohanlal introduction was too gud.....Then came the melodious song sung by Mohanlal which was highly appreciated by d viewers......Throughout the 1st half Blessy maintained a suspense n thrill......Interval scene was too gud....Mohanlal's dialogue delivery as usual in that scene.....So all togeather 1st half waz superb i would say.....Then second half it was meant only 4 Mohanla n his acting.....He did well ofcourse but the movie lost its thrill after abt 20 mins after d interval.....One hotel fight scen n dialogues were superb......Then towards end it bcame a family story n was full of emotions......N ended as a gud movie.....
But I repeat 1st half was really cool.....N ordinary viewers will expect a lot at interval.....Blessy failed in that aspect.....But everything else was gud.....Locations of 2nd were gud.....1st half bgms were too gud.....Camera work was very gud.....All togeather a gud movie

According to my reviews........Bhramaram is a good movie...........Not an execptional.but it has got his scenes.second half was little dragging.Climax was sublime............excellent Photography........good songs..........There are Negative points in the movie but.possitive points are more.........
Most important is Lals performance..........Absolutly Awesome............He has put his best effort after Tanmathra and Udayanaanu taram............He simply has put his heart and soul to the film.............
This is a statement that Lal is still the BEst actor when comes to Performance..........I really liked his acting.But supporting actors were Bad, Bhoomika, The child could not deliver any good performance.......
But its a good movie family must watch......andf thanks to Blessy to bring us back Lal for his great performance he is famous for

Yes, Blessy has stamped his signature on Bhramaram. A simple story, lots of emotions, fabulous frames and some haunting moments. Still, in the end, it is the power packed performance from Mohanlal that turns out to be the real strength of the film.
The story begins when a visibly unkempt Sivankutty (Mohanlal) reaches the apartment of his schoolmate, Unni (Suresh Menon). Though Unni fails to remember him clearly, the stranger who introduces himself as Jose, becomes friendly with his kid. The mood takes some abrupt turns from then on as his real identity is revealed after a while.

Unni, now a successful share broker and his close pal Alex, a doctor, studied in the same school with Jose (well, we're not playing spoilsports and revealing more), who is now a jeep driver. To their horror, Unni and Alex soon realize that his actual name was not Jose. They were all part of a tragic incident and now all on a sudden, he had come there with an agenda.

The film has its moments for sure, but things could have definitely been more effective with a taut script as at times it drags. Though Mohanlal puts in his heart and soul to get into the shoes of his character, the supporting cast lets him down big time. What makes the film click is it’s stunning climax

Bhoomika, as Mohanlal's wife and the child actor who played their kid fails to make any impact. Some of the characters played by Bollywood comedian Suresh Menon, Bhoomika and Lakshmi Gopalaswamy could have been more effective with better dubbing. Muralikrishnan, who plays Alex, has nice features to suit his role and he does a nice job as well.

Among the best things about the film is the cinematography by Ajayan Vincent that adds to the mood of the story in a huge way. The music of Mohan Sithara, is melodious especially Mohanlal’s Annarakanna… song which is another highlight of the film. The action scenes, though at times created just for the heck of it, have been taken pretty well.

Bhramaram continues to haunt you even after you come out of the theatre after watching it. Of course, it also makes you think about its merits and shortcomings. Now, how many films that came out during recent times succeed in doing that? Go 4 it!

I am in saudi now and i am in a desp that i could not be there to watch bhramaram.. But i got the real reports from kerala and i am sure that the film is 100% a class film and lal fans dont care that whether it will be a superhit or not as we got a class film. Remember the first reactions when Thanmatra and Kazhcha came..class films will survive in any way.

ചിത്രത്തെക്കുറിച� �ച് ബ്ലെസ്സി നേരത്തെ തന്നെ പല അഭിമുഖങ്ങളിലും പറഞ്ഞത് മനസ്സിലുള്ളതിനാല� �‍ ഒരു ബ്ലെസ്സി ചിത്രം കാണാന്‍ പോകുന്ന തയ്യാറെടുപ്പൊന്ന� �മില്ലാതെയാണ് തിയറ്ററില്‍ കയറിയത്. തയ്യാറെടുപ്പൊന്ന� �മില്ലേ എന്ന് ചോദിച്ചാല്‍ ബ്ലെസ്സിയുടെ ആദ്യ ത്രില്ലര്‍ പശ്ചാ‍ത്തലത്തിലു� �്ള ചിത്രമല്ലേ അതു കൊണ്ട് മോഹന്‍ലാല്‍ വിമര്‍ശകരായ ചില സുഹൃത്തുക്കളെ കൂടി ഒരു ധൈര്യത്തിന് കൂടെ കൂട്ടിയിരുന്നു.

മാനസികമായി സ്വല്‍പം പ്രശ്നമില്ലേ എന്ന് പ്രേക്ഷകരെക്കൊണ്� �് ചോദിപ്പിക്കുന്ന കഥാപാത്രമായാണ് സിനിമയുടെ പകുതിവരെ മോഹന്‍‌ലാല്‍ അഭിനയിക്കുന്നത്. കോയമ്പത്തൂരില്‍ തന്റെ പഴയ കൂട്ടുകാരനെ കാണാന്‍ എത്തുകയാണ് ജോസ് (മോഹന്‍‌ലാല്‍). എന്നാല്‍ സുഹൃത്തായ ഉണ്ണിക്ക് (സുരേഷ് മേനോന്‍) ആളെ തിരിച്ചറിയാന്‍ ആവുന്നില്ല. എന്തായാലും മര്യാദ വിടാതെ ജോസിനെ ഫ്ലാറ്റില്‍ സ്വീകരിക്കുകയാണ് ഉണ്ണിയും ഭാര്യയും (ലക്ഷ്മി ഗോപാലസ്വാമി) മകളും (ബേബി നിവേദിത).

ഉണ്ണിയുടെ (ശിവന്‍ കുട്ടിയുടെയും) അടുത്ത സുഹൃത്താണ് അലക്സ് (മുരളീകൃഷ്ണന്‍). ഇയാളും ജോസിനോടൊപ്പം ഒരേ സ്കൂളില്‍ പഠിച്ചവനാണ്. ഉണ്ണി ഒരു ഷെയര്‍ ബ്രോക്കറാണെങ്കില� �‍ അലക്സൊരു ഡോക്‌ടറാണ്. തങ്ങളെ തേടിയെത്തിയ ജോസിന്‍റെ യഥാര്‍ത്ഥ പേര് ജോസല്ലെന്നും അയാള്‍ തങ്ങളെ തേടിയെത്തിയതിനു പിന്നില്‍ വ്യക്തമായ ഒരു ലക്‍ഷ്യമുണ്ടെന്ന� �ം അലക്സും ഉണ്ണിയും മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നത� �ടെ കഥ പിരിമുറുക്കത്തില� �ക്ക് കടക്കുന്നു.

പല സന്ദര്‍ഭങ്ങളിലും ചെറുതായി ഇഴച്ചില്‍ അനുഭവപ്പെടുന്നുണ� �ടെങ്കിലും ഒരു ചെറിയ കഥയെ സംവിധായകന്‍റെ കൈയ്യൊപ്പുള്ള ഒരു മനോഹര ചിത്രമാക്കുന്നതി� �്‍ ബ്ലെസ്സി വിജയിച്ചിരിക്കുന� �നു എന്ന് നിസംശയം പറയാം. തിരക്കഥ അല്‍പ്പം കൂടി മുറുക്കമുളളതായിര� �ന്നെങ്കില്‍ തന്‍‌മാത്രയ്ക്കു� � മുകളില്‍ നില്‍ക്കുന്ന ഒരു ചിത്രം സമ്മാനിക്കാന്‍ ബ്ലെസ്സിക്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞേനെ.

ലാല്‍ എന്ന നടന്‍റെ അഭിനയ പാടവമാണ് പ്രേക്ഷകരെ പിടിച്ചു നിര്‍ത്തുന്നത്. എന്നാല്‍ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങള്‍ക്� �് അനുയോജ്യരായ മറ്റ് താരങ്ങളെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാനായ� � പലപ്പോഴും അഭിനയ ക്ലാസുകള്‍ വരെ നടത്താറുളള ബ്ലെസ്സിക്ക് ഇത്തവണ പിഴച്ചു പോയി എന്ന് പറയാതിരിക്കാനാവി� �്ല. ബ്ലെസ്സി കഥാപാ‍ത്രങ്ങളിലെ സ്വാഭാവികത (കാഴ്ചയിലെ മുത്തച്ഛനെ ഓര്‍ക്കുക) ഭ്രമരത്തിലെ മറ്റ് പല കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളിലും കാണാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. ഡോ അലക്സ് മാത്രമാണ് ഇതിനൊരപവദം. ഇത് ചിത്രത്തിന്‍റെ മൊത്തത്തിലുള്ള ആസ്വാദനത്തെ സാരമായിതന്നെ ബാധിക്കുന്നുമുണ്� �്.

ലാലിന്‍റെ ഭാര്യയായി എത്തുന്ന ഭൂമികയ്ക്കൊ, മകളായി എത്തുന്ന ബാലതാരത്തിനോ പ്രത്യേകിച്ചൊന്ന� �ം ചെയ്യാനില്ല. അജയന്‍ വിന്‍സെന്‍റിന്‍റ� � ഛായാഗ്രാഹണം കഥയുടെ മൂഡിന് അനുയോജ്യമാണ്. മോഹന്‍ സിതാരയുടെ സംഗീതവും (പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് അണ്ണാരക്കണ്ണാ എന്ന് ഗാനം).

എങ്കിലും ചിത്രം കണ്ടിറങ്ങിയപ്പോള� �‍ ഭ്രമരം റിലീസ് ചെയ്യുന്നതിനു മുന്‍പ് ബ്ലെസ്സി പറഞ്ഞ ഒരു കാര്യം ഓര്‍മ വന്നു. മോഹന്‍ ലാല്‍ എന്ന നടന്‍റെ അഭിനയ ജീവതത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച 10 കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളില്‍ ഒന്നായിരിക്കും ഭ്രമരത്തിലെ ശിവന്‍ കുട്ടി എന്ന കാര്യം. തിയറ്ററിനു പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഞാന്‍ ഇക്കാര്യം കൂടെയുള്ള ലാല്‍ വിമര്‍ശകരോട് ചോദിച്ചു.

അവരും ബ്ലെസ്സിയുടെ അഭിപ്രായത്തെ തലകുലുക്കി അംഗീകരിച്ചു. ഇത് തന്നെയാണ് ഭ്രമരം പ്രേക്ഷകര്‍ക്ക് നല്‍കുന്നത്. സിനിമ കണ്ടിറങ്ങിയശേഷം അല്‍പ്പനേരത്തേക്� �െങ്കിലും ലാല്‍ പകര്‍ന്നാടിയ കഥാപാത്രം പ്രേക്ഷക മനസ്സില്‍ ഉണ്ടാവും. ഇന്ന് എത്ര ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് അതിനു കഴിയുന്നു എന്ന് കൂടി ഓര്‍ക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ഭ്രമരം നഷ്ടപ്പെടുത്തേണ്� � സിനിമയല്ലെന്ന് നമുക്ക് മനസ്സിലാവുന്നു. പ്രതികാരത്തിന്റെ അഗ്നിയില്‍ ചാലിച്ചെടുത്ത വികാരനിര്‍ഭരമായ ഈ സിനിമ മിസ് ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കുക!

Balamillatha oru thirakkathyaal uddeshichidathu ethaathe poya oru cinema.The film starts with Mohanlal identity as a mystery......for a short time it tends to keep the audience thrilled to know who he really is...but soon the director fails to keep it going....He loses his way going for a mediocre ,cliched flash back.The characters in the flash back except for laal n KPAC also fails to have any effect on the onlookers......The film somehow moves into interval without making any serious impact on the audience which is very unlikely of blessy previous attempts.

Intervalinu shesham ulla onnu randu scenes kandappo padam kathi kayarumennu thonnichu...vellamadichittulla scene,aviduthe adiyum.......aa scensinte build up okke padathinte promosine nyaayeekarikkunnava aayrunnu...but soon it again falls back to the 1st halfs track...The camera works for the high range jeep driving were excellent and is really a breath taker.But these doesnt hide away the predictable scens to follow....The climax acts reminds u of palunku....on the whole,unlike blessys previous movies Bhramaram doesnt give you a share of pain of the characters. it doesnt keep you worrying of the woes and worries of the characters once the movie is over.This, i think was how blessy kept a real hold in his previous movies.

Bhramaram Movie Review

Bhramaram - Lal, Blessy excels in ‘Bhramaram’
IndiaGlitz [Friday, June 26, 2009]

A simple story, great performances, well fleshed out characters, play of emotions and technical finesse. Blessy bounces back with flare in his new film ‘Bhramaram’ which is indeed a worthy watch for all the connoisseurs of good, contentful cinema. A fine tribute by Blessy for his masters who taught him the techniques of painfully powerful cinema, ‘Bhramaram’ is indeed a breath of fresh air for those who had been brandedly taking all one liners built around Valluvanaadan slang, paddy fields, Tharavadu(ancestral family)and bonding of joint family systems in the name of good Mollywood movie.

The movie is built around Jose alias Shivan Kutty, who is roaming around in an auto around Coimbatore to locate an address, on the same day the city is shell shocked with multiple blasts. This man of mystery finally arrive at the apartment of his schoolmate Unni, now a busy, successful share broker who is having a happy life with his wife Latha and kids. The intruder remains in the flat for a couple of days making merry with the kids, but within days Unni and his closest friend Alex, are made to realise that the man in their flat have come with an agenda, an after math of an incident that happened long back in their lives. What follows is an intriguing, and engaging road movie made in the rarest of the turfs and backdrops seen on Mollywood cinema.

Blessy has successfully managed to build in the necessary tension and suspense around the lead character, which pushes the movie till the interval. And the second half is a real splendour with one of the best performances from the versatile star in Lal. He, with the help of fabulous frames and interesting dialogues, propel the movie toward the climax, which is a real stunner. The actor is used to such a perfect effect that one can really feel his pain, experiences his struggle and realise that there can be more than one such men out there in the world today. The only hiccups in the entire proceeding seems to be the flash back track in which the Bhoomika and the kid playing Lal's daughter fails to persevere the acting ease displayed by every others in the frame. Suresh Menon, playing Unni, deliver a candid natural performance without pushing for histrionics, and works the understated character perfectly. Lakshmi Gopalaswamy and Murali Krishnan also does their roles with elaan.

In the technical side, the movie remains as one of the best shot and edited movie in recent times. Cinematographer Ajayan Vincent and Blessy deserve the highest accolades for achieving this level of beauty in severely extreme conditions. The attention to details in terms of sets and costumes are also commendable. The editor also has done his part with well done effects, colour corrected frames and sharp cuts that maintains the suspense of the impressive and humanistic thread.The music and BG scores by Mohan Sithara adds to the tempo of the proceedings with the song “Annarakanna”-will make you hum to its tunes.

All in all, the movie is a must watch for all who love that good middle stream movies propagated in the eighties by Padmarajan, Bhrathan and co. And we are sure, the plight of no other movie protagonists could have haunted you like this, in recent times. Hats Off, Blessy for this deep, touching effort.
